FAQ

01 — Is the beach private?

Nope, Cocoa Beach is a public beach and therefore we can not guarantee that there will not be people around. However, we tend to do most of our ceremonies at a specific spot further down A1A than the tourists go to ensure a more private feel. Also a plus - the beach we love to use allows DOGS - so if you’re thinking of incorporating your fur baby into your big day we can definitely do that!

02 — Do I need a permit?

Cape Canaveral and Cocoa Beaches do not require a permit for weddings on the beach, you’re in the clear!

03 — What if it rains? Or worse?

GOOD QUESTION! Here in Florida not only do we have to worry about the occasional - I mean daily - rain shower (usually in the afternoon/early evening) but also the dreaded hurricane season as well. We recommend steering clear of weddings between the hours of 1-6 pm in summer months, but never fear, we do not book more than 1 evening wedding per day so if you’re flexible and want to push back the start time by an hour or two while we wait for the showers to pass we’re more than happy to do so! There are also back up pavilion/shelter spots that we use during rain, still with a tropical feel and on the beach but to ensure you stay dry during your vows and can get some photos on the beach after!

In the event of a hurricane or other natural disaster we are more than happy to postpone your wedding to a date that works for both parties, free of charge - this call should be made as soon as possible, ideally 3+ days prior to the wedding date.

04 — What if I want a Friend / family member to officiate?

Honestly, these are usually our favorite. Yes, we love to officiate but your friends and family have that special insight into your lives and journey that we just can’t replicate. That being said, you will be required to sign a liability waiver stating that they are legally qualified to marry you if we are not a part of officiating the ceremony. After we receive the waiver you are eligible for a discount of $200.

Scared they might fudge the paperwork? We also offer couples the option of leaving their package as is and having your loved one officiate for your friends and family, then having a quick legal ceremony (just the 3 of us, and 1-2 witnesses if you’d like) and file the paperwork for you.

05 — What if I have my own photographer?

Totally cool - we know there are TONS of fabulous photographers out there and it definitely makes sense to hire an independent photographer if you’re interested in getting ready + reception photos as well! If you choose not to use our photographer you will receive a discount of $300 off of the listed package price ($150 off The Inbetween Package).

06 — Is there a discount for weekdays?

No. All of our pricing is listed for weekdays - there is a 20% upcharge for Saturday weddings.

07 — Do you offer military discounts?

Of course! We extend current and veteran service members, as well as first responders a discount of 10% on any package price.

08 — Are sunrise ceremonies a thing?

Absolutely! We know other companies charge extra but we’re cool with them, they’re exactly the price quoted online. We recommend The All Inclusive or below but if you have your heart set on fresh florals we’ve got you, it is your wedding day afterall!

09 — Can you help me get my marriage license?

Yes and no. You have to obtain your marriage license yourself but we’re happy to give you all the info you need to do so! It’s relatively quick and painless (there is a 3 day waiting period for Florida residents, no waiting period for out of state, and costs around $90).

10 — Do you give recommendations for receptions + room blocks?

Of course we do! We regularly work with many hotels and restaurants in the area and are happy to point you in the direction of great businesses that will help you continue celebrating, long after you leave the sand!

11 — what kind of deposit do you require? Is it refundable?

We require a $500 non-refundable deposit for all packages at contract signing, the remainder of the balance will be due 2 weeks prior to your date. In the event of cancellation less than 2 weeks before the wedding date refunds will be limited to 50% of contract price.

12 — Can we customize your packages?

Our packages are pretty cut and dry but we definitely can accommodate some customization if need be! Don’t be afraid to ask!

13 — Do you have any add - ons like flower crowns and bridesmaid bouquets?

We are happy to add bridesmaid bouquets, flower crowns, aisle or flower girl petals, or boutonnieres for family members to any package, pricing will vary based on preferences, inquire for a quote!

14 — What if we’re late or our guests aren’t on time? Can you wait for us?

We all know that person who is literally late for EVERYTHING - totally get it. We do try to start ceremonies on time, especially if you were aiming for sunrise or sunset, but we understand that life happens sometimes and the last thing we want you to do it get stressed on your wedding day! If you are running late please reach out to your point of contact ASAP to regroup. In the vast majority of cases we can accomodate a delayed start, however you may be required to sign a waiver acknowledging the new timing as well as the fact that lighting for photography purposes may be less ideal. (Don’t worry, we’ll still do everything we can to make your photos stunning!)

If you do not show up for your wedding within 2 hours of contracted start time and we have not received any communication we will treat it as a no call no show and you will not be eligible for a refund, however 50% of the total package price will be applicable to a later date if the couple contacts the office within 7 days of the original contracted event.

15 — Can I customize my ceremony?

Yes of course! We have a few ceremonies to choose from ranging from religious to non-religious and love to get some information about you and your story to incorporate here and there. The BEST way to make it personal to you though is by writing your own vows! Everyone loves hearing your heartfelt vows to one another and it makes the ceremony feel more intimate. Writing your own vows definitely isn’t for everyone, but if you feel so inclined we’re happy to accommodate!

16 — Can you send photos of our arbor choices and talk more about the flower options we have?

Of course! We pride ourselves in having cool, modern ceremony decor for our intimate weddings because we believe that you shouldn’t have to compromise on style for your ceremony. We’re happy to send over the arbors that we have and chat more about flowers - feel free to set up a call or send a few photos of what you’ve been loving to get the conversation started!
